Trakt.tv is a free platform that tracks what you’re watching across various streaming services. When integrated with Stremio, it helps you manage your media consumption across all devices and services.

How to set up Trakt

🎯 What Trakt.tv Can Do

  3. Sign up using email or a social account
  4. Customize your profile and preferences

🧩 2. Connect Trakt with Stremio

As of now, Stremio does not have native Trakt integration, but you can use third-party tools like mdblist to bridge them.

  1. Go to https://mdblist.com
  2. Sign in and go to Settings
  3. Link your Trakt account
  4. Import Trakt lists (Watchlist, Favorites, History)
  5. Copy the Stremio add-on URL provided by mdblist
  6. In Stremio:
    • Go to the Add-on Catalog
    • Scroll down to “Install via URL”
    • Paste the link

✅ Your Trakt lists will now appear in Stremio!

Option B: Manually Export Trakt Lists

If you prefer full control:

  1. Export your Trakt list as a CSV or use the API
  2. Use it to build a custom Stremio add-on

🔄 Syncing Progress

While you can’t sync watched history directly from Trakt to Stremio (yet), some workarounds:

  • Use mdblist to reflect updated watched lists
  • Use Scrobble features in other media apps (like Kodi + Stremio bridge)
  • Consider using browser extensions or plugins to sync Trakt activity

💡 Best Practices

  • Keep your Trakt account updated with your Stremio activity
  • Use Trakt lists to organize content by genre, mood, or priority
  • Share lists with friends or embed them in your blog/site
